wikipedia
The unique space of the Sala Canal de Isabel II is located in the neighborhood of Ríos Rosas, in an old water reservoir that was built between 1907 and 1911 by the engineer Diego Martín Montalvo and the architect Ramón de Aguinaga. It is a monumental work of industrial character, with a circular floor plan, an exterior brick structure, sloping buttresses and a lowered metal roof. The building was restored in 1986 by the architects Javier Alau and Antonio Lopera, and fitted out as an exhibition hall.

He is also one of the most present photographers on the Internet, especially in videos (youtube and RTVE) where he talks about his work as well as the work of other artists because he is also an exhibition curator:
And now what can I say about the exhibition? Well, there are photos that I like by themselves and others not so much because they need an explanation to understand them (they are part of a story of which it is necessary to read the plot).
And what can I say about Fontcuberta: See him whenever you can but, above all, read or listen to everything he says about photography, I think, in my opinion, that he is the person who best explains photography today. And so we learn to see and understand both his work and the work of others.

Among the series to be exhibited are Herbarium, Fauna, Sputnik, Securitas, Pin-Zhuang, La sirena de Tormes, Kaleria: Milagros & Co and Trepat. Throughout his work Fontcuberta has questioned the plausible and tries to capture the idea that photographs go beyond the two-dimensionality of paper. – See more at: http://www.esmadrid.com/agenda/imago-ergo-sum-sala-canal-de-isabel-ii-comunidad-de-madrid#sthash.V1fXPjxn.dpuf
